The Cause

Cancer is different when you’re a young adult.  In the first stage of adult life, dealing with cancer suddenly gives issues like fertility, friends and finances a whole new meaning.
Young Adult Cancer Canada’s mission is to help every young adult dealing with cancer in Canada by providing inspiration, information and support.

All funds raised during the Shave for the Brave go directly toward supporting our programs for young adult cancer patients and survivors.  Donations allow us to offer these programs at no cost to the young adults that truly need them.

For more information on Young Adult Cancer Canada’s finances, check out our Annual Report.

Here are some of the main programs Young Adult Cancer Canada offers:

Retreat Yourself brings together young adults from across the country to connect with others who understand what they’re going through.

The Survivor Conference is designed to increase feeling of hope, quality of life, and enhance a sense of connection to community.

The YACC Online Community is 24/7 support wherever you are geographically and emotionally.

We Get It is a double-layer DVD filled with the experiences of survivors, for survivors.
